"You know you're making a lot of money, and that's hard to walk away from," a former engineer admitted. Real estate agents in Palo Alto have noted this impact, with Nvidia employees making down payments of between 40% and 60% on multi-million dollar homes.
A former employee also shared that it was common to hear colleagues bragging about their purchases. "I've heard people casually mention that they bought tickets to the Super Bowl or the NBA Finals, just because they could," the ex-engineer added.
