Willie Collum is expected to formally address the public fallout from last weekend's Celtic vs Rangers Scottish League Cup final tomorrow, on Thursday, December 19.
Collum, former referee and current head of referee operations at the Scottish Football Association, will speak about the showpiece game's officiating on the SFA's official YouTube channel, by way of its monthly 'The VAR Review' series.
Herald and Times Sport understands the latest episode of the recurring series will be published on Thursday, December 19 at around lunchtime.
The enduring talking point following Sunday's encounter has been the officials' decision not to award Rangers with a penalty in extra-time, when Vaclav Cerny was fouled by Liam Scales.
John Beaton instead awarded a free-kick on the edge of the area, however it's since been suggested the on-pitch referee's VAR room counterparts, Alan Muir and Frank Conor, should have intervened - at least calling for Beaton to review the situation on the pitch-side monitors, or even standing to overrule the referee's original decision remotely.
Had it been deemed that Cerny's foot was on the penalty box line when the foul was committed, the free-kick decision should then have been reversed in favour of a penalty kick.
In the wake of the ensuing furore, The Scotsman later reported that Collum had discussed the matter with the new Rangers chief executive, Patrick Stewart, and accepted a mistake was made.
Collum is expected to discuss the issue specifically with The VAR Review host Gordon Duncan, as well as the Scottish League Cup final as a whole.
Sunday's match finished 3-3 after extra-time, before Celtic edged victory on penalty kicks by five goals to four.
