IN the heart of Glasgow, George Square is a prominent meeting place for many campaigners and protesters which can be watched live online.
A counter-protest against a planned far-right demonstration is set to take place at George Square this Saturday at midday.
The rally, organised by Stand Up To Racism (SUTR), is a response to a “pro-UK” rally promoted by far-right figures including Tommy Robinson.
The counter-protest can be viewed live via an online webcam.
It updates every 20 seconds, but the local authority says that at times of high traffic, the webcam may become unavailable for short periods.
Where can I watch the webcam?
People can watch the live web camera via the Glasgow City Council website here.
On the web page it says, “see what's happening in the centre of Glasgow or just check out the local weather if you're planning a trip to the city”.
It also states that in times of high website traffic the webcam may become unavailable for a short time and if it happens to “please try again later”.
