The Cincinnati Bengals play in what feels like one of the true 50-50 matchups of the season in Week 17 during a Monday night game against the Buffalo Bills.
Those Bengals have been a darling of picks experts and oddsmakers alike for a month-plus as the team ripped off seven straight wins. Encountering a 12-3 Bills team is a bit of a different beast though.
Even so, over at NFL Pick Watch, which monitors the picks of 100-plus experts weekly, a notable 57 percent of experts have picked the Bengals to win the game. That’s a number that actually stays the same when experts have to pick against the spread, too.
This, plus the close odds really point to just how close this game should be.
We are talking about two teams tied for the most combined wins ever on a MNF matchup. They boast strong defenses, talent at the skill positions, quality coaching and two MVP candidates at quarterback.
With both teams fighting for key AFC playoff seeding to top it all off, it should be one of the most entertaining games of the year. Plus, it’s impossible to blame anyone who picks in either direction.
