Here's everything you need to know about the Spice Girls gig in Croke Park this Friday

Spice Girls are set to take Croke Park by storm this Friday and we can't wait!

The hit 90s band will be playing their first Irish gig in 21 years and we’re here to tell you everything you need to know about the upcoming concert.

What time do the doors open?

Doors open at 6pm and there is no overnight or early queuing allowed prior to gates opening.

What are the stage times?

Spice Girls are set to take to the stage at 8:15pm with the gig due to finish around 11pm.

 

Who are the supporting acts?

Rather Be hitmaker Jess Glynne will be supporting the Fab Four on the night.

What can I bring with me to the concert?

Concert goers are not allowed to bring backpacks or large handbags.

Bags should not be larger than A4 size.

There will be no cloakroom or storage facilities on site and any confiscated items will be removed and disposed off.

Other forbidden items include umbrellas, glass or cans, alcohol, garden furniture, selfie sticks, flares, professional cameras or cameras with a detachable lens, video cameras & audio recording devices, iPads or GoPros.

Strict security checks will be in place and everyone will be subject to a search.

What should I wear to the concert?

Guests are advised to check weather conditions and dress accordingly as no umbrellas are allowed.

How do I get to the gig?

Fans have been urged to allow at least an extra two hours’ travel time to and from the venue.

Concert goers have been advised to plan the route in advance and check the AA Roadwatch website for traffic reports.

Traffic and parking delays are inevitable so using public transport (bus, DART, Luas) is strongly advised.

There are no parking facilities locally so those driving to the concert will have to use city centre car parks and carpool.

Irish Rail have announced that full schedules will operate on all routes, with the following additional services and alterations:

  • Extra Maynooth line services operating after the concert, from Drumcondra, serving all stations to Maynooth
  • Extra DARTs operating after concert from Connolly to Howth and Greystones
  • 23.35hrs Pearse to Dundalk is deferred to 23.45hrs
  • Trains from Newbridge/Hazelhatch to Grand Canal Dock from 16.00hrs onwards; and from Grand Canal Dock to Newbridge/Hazelhatch from 18.00hrs onwards will not stop at Drumcondra as part of event crowd control measures
  • Extra Intercity services operating after the concert, which must be booked in advance at irishrail.ie (please search 25 May to book as trains depart after midnight):
    • 00.30hrs Heuston to Galway
    • 00.40hrs Heuston to Cork/Limerick (change at Limerick Junction for Limerick)

 

 

Are there any age restrictions?

Under 16s attending the concert must be accompanied by a parent or guardian at all times.

Under 14s aren’t allowed on the pitch either accompanied or otherwise.

 

Are there any arrangements for accessible customers?

Those seeking accessible requests or queries are advised to contact the promoter in advance at access@mcd.ie.

Limited accessible parking is available in Clonliffe Carpark off Drumcondra Road.
