Here’s a look at the Dolphins WR depth chart after the Tyreek Hill trade

Entering this offseason, the Miami Dolphins had a number of holes on their roster and were looking for quick ways to fill them all.

One position that they were looking to upgrade was wide receiver. They had some weapons to target last season, but they clearly wanted more. That lead to the Dolphins signing former Dallas Cowboys wide receiver Cedrick Wilson Jr. to a three-year deal.

While Wilson isn’t a top receiver in the league, there was some belief that he could take a step in Miami when he’s not working behind some of the best wideouts in the league in Ceedee Lamb and Amari Cooper.

However, the Dolphins weren’t done, as they’ve just completed a trade to bring in Tyreek Hill from the Kansas City Chiefs for five picks, including this year’s first and second-round selections. Hill only had one year remaining on his original contract, so Miami addressed that by giving him a four-year extension worth $120 million.

Now, the Dolphins wide receiver depth chart will look something like this:

  • Tyreek Hill
  • Jaylen Waddle
  • DeVante Parker
  • Cedrick Wilson Jr.
  • Preston Williams
  • Trent Sherfield
  • Lynn Bowden Jr.
  • Allen Hurns
  • River Cracraft
  • Cody Core
  • DeVonte Dedmon

Obviously, not all of those players will make the final roster when the season starts, but one thing is for sure – Tua Tagovailoa will definitely have an upgraded group of targets in 2022.
