The New England Patriots have a whopping nine picks in the 2022 NFL draft, including three selections in the sixth round.
The Patriots made a pre-draft trade with the Houston Texans on Monday. New England sent a fifth-round pick (170th overall) to Houston in exchange for a sixth-rounder (183rd) and a seventh-rounder (245th). That flipped around the Patriots’ board in the later rounds. New England officially has a selection in every round, previously lacking a pick in the seventh.
Their first four selections are their original picks. Past that, they have a smattering of selections from other teams after trades with the Miami Dolphins, Houston Texans and Los Angeles Rams.
Here’s a look at the Patriots’ board.
Round 1: 21st
Round 2: 54th
Round 3: 85th
Round 4: 127th
Round 5: 158th (via Dolphins)
Round 6: 183rd (via Texans)
Round 6: 200th
Round 6: 210th (via Rams)
Round 7: 245th (via Texans)
That’s a stocked board. How many of those picks will Belichick actually make? That’s anyone’s guess.
