Those who have been watching Emmerdale for years will no doubt know all about Gennie Walker, who met a grizzly end during a murder plot in 2013. Though it has been many years since Gennie's appearance in Emmerdale, she was given a mention by Brenda and Mandy Dingle back in 2019.
So, who is Gennie Walker? She was the biological daughter of Shadrach Dingle and Shirley Pascoe, though was adopted by Brenda Walker as a youngster.
Gennie made her first appearance in the village when she was knocked off her moped, by Ross Kirk who hit her with his car. At the time, she had been on her way to meet Shadrach Dingle - her biological father - for the first time.

Paddy Kirk and Ross visited Gennie in hospital after the accident, with Paddy and Gennie quickly striking up a friendship. And Gennie was further welcomed to the village when she was invited to Eli Dingle's birthday party, which is where she eventually ended up meeting her biological dad for the first time.
Gennie and Shadrach developed a close relationship, with Gennie then getting to know the rest of the Dingle family and growing close with them as well. She eventually moved in with the Dingles, which caused a huge amount of sadness for Brenda, who had been her adoptive mother for many years.
The relationship between Gennie and Brenda then became strained, with Brenda resenting the change that she was noticing in Gennie's character. But Gennie reassured Brenda that she was fitting in with the Dingles and this is where she wanted to remain.
She ended up having a few unsuccessful attempts at finding romance - once with Paddy, whom she had developed feelings for; and again, with Bob - before finding love with Nikhil Sharma. The couple had a child together, who they named Molly.
Shortly before Gennie's exit from the show, in 2013, she learns that her adoptive mum, Brenda, has a brain tumour. By this point, Gennie and Nikhil have decided to tie the knot and they decide to bring the date of the wedding forward, so that Brenda can attend.
However, Brenda was furious and told the couple that she would not be having treatment for her cancer and nor would she attend the wedding. She does eventually concede, attending the wedding - but collapsing and suffering a seizure while she is there.
Luckily, Brenda is rushed to hospital. After recovering in hospital, she decides to have surgery to remove the tumour, so that she can be a part of Molly's life as the little one grows up.
But, sadly, Brenda was not able to be a part of Gennie's life for much longer - as Gennie is murdered by Cameron, who had previously murdered Carl. At this point, it is believed that Chas was Carl's murderer, but Gennie uncovers evidence that proves Cameron's guilt.
Having overheard a conversation between Debbie and Cameron, Gennie panicked and tried to leave - but is chased by the pair. Gennie had managed to evade then and made a quick getaway in her car, running Cameron over in the process.
Cameron and Debbie chase Gennie in their car, causing her to panic. She skidded across a hairpin turn and plunged down a large ravine, ending up trapped in her car.
While Debbie went to get help, Cameron was able to pull Gennie - still alive - from her car, but suffocates her to death before Debbie returns. He had wanted to ensure that she would not share information about his involvement in Carl's murder.
Debbie was left believing that she had been responsible for Gennie's death and is visibly upset, having believed that Gennie had died as a result of the car accident.
