I am really putting all my eggs into the basket that Destiny 2 is going to roll out Solar 3.0 in a month when season 17 starts. There have just been too many clues for me to think otherwise, which is why I’m starting my prep guides early.
One thing that tends to happen with these subclass reworks is that they feature upgrades to weapons of that subclass type. While some actually produce 3.0 “keywords,” in solar’s case weapons that actually burn enemies, even just the base elemental type does something, like void weapons getting Volatile Rounds this season matched with the Void subclass everyone was running.
So, you want to play ahead? I’ve already talked about some exotics to focus on given the buffs that are coming, but I want to do a grand master list of solar weapons so you can have some to go to if they have the ability to have their own version of volatile rounds (burning rounds?) this season. I’ll include the exotics in there too, because why not:
