Amazon has announced the PC games that Prime Gaming members can snag at no extra cost in May. There are a couple classics in the mix, and a bunch more games that’ll at least be worth checking out.
Starting on May 1, you can claim:
- Dead Space 2
- The Curse of Monkey Island
- Out of Line
- Mail Mole + 'Xpress Deliveries
- Cat Quest
- Shattered – Tale of the Forgotten King
It’s cool to see Dead Space 2 and The Curse of Monkey Island in the mix. Those are part of iconic franchises that are being revived over the next year or so. A remake of the first Dead Space will arrive in early 2023, while a brand new Monkey Island game is slated for release later this year.
The Curse of Monkey Island is my favorite of the Monkey Island games. The art style is just great and it’s still funny as heck. It’s an especially great pickup for anyone who snags Monkey Island 2 Special Edition: LeChuck’s Revenge, which is one of the Prime Gaming free games for April. You still have a couple days to claim those.
Amazon Prime subscribers will also be able to snap up freebies for a ton of other games in May, including bonuses for Overwatch, Lost Ark, Fall Guys, Grand Theft Auto Online, Rainbow Six Siege, Apex Legends and Dead by Daylight.
Meanwhile, at the beginning of May, Amazon will offer a fresh batch of games to stream on the Amazon Luna Prime Gaming Channel. You can access them at no extra cost if you’re a Prime Gaming member in the US.
May’s Amazon Luna Prime Gaming Channel games are the excellent Ghostrunner, Ride 4, Monster Truck Championship and Metal Slug 3. They’ll replace Mortal Shell: Enhanced Edition, Amnesia: Rebirth. Tracks: Toybox Edition and King of Fighters’ 98.
