Here Are All The 'Fortnite' Showtime Challenges And Free Marshmello Prizes

Fortnite

If you’re like me, you’re going to a concert this weekend in the nerdiest but somehow coolest way possible. Marshmello is performing a set inside Fortnite itself at Pleasant Park at 2 PM ET Saturday. Ahead of that event, Epic has put on sale a Marshmello skin and glider in the store, but there is also a set of free Showtime challenges for anyone to earn more Mello-themed concert gear.

We had the first challenge go live yesterday, but now the second two are here as well, giving you about a day to complete them in order to make sure you are fully decked out for the Marshmello concert tomorrow, even if you don’t want to buy the skin.

Here are the challenges:

  • Search a Showtime Poster (0/1) – Reward: Mello Made It Right Spray
  • Visit the Showtime Venue (0/1) – Reward: Keep it Mello Emote
  • Use Keep It Mello at a trucker’s oasis, ice cream parlor, and a frozen lake (0/3) – Reward: Marshy Smasher Pickaxe
Fortnite

And if you do all three you’ll get a Fortnite concert icon. Combined with the skin and glider for sale, it’s a full set of Marshmello gear. I really do wonder what the revenue split is with him, and this is an interesting thing for Epic to come out with given that they’re currently being sued by a number of musicians for “stealing” dance emotes. I guess this is one way of showing they can effectively worth with the music community, though I’m not sure if it helps or hurts their overall legal case.

We have guides for all three of these challenges to help you here. Here’s one for the posters. Here’s one for the concert venue. And here are three for each stage of the dance challenge, here, here and here. If those links don’t work yet, they will soon.

I think the goal is for everyone to get these done so they can be fully geared-out for the actual concert tomorrow. I’m hearing rumors that there might be blanket immunity given to everyone during the actual concert set, which means that you will be able to do little but dance and possible build, but maybe not even that. I really think it could be…an issue if they let this concert be live fire, even with respawns, as gunfire at a concert venue does not bring terribly pleasant memories to mind, even if this one is virtual.

We’ll see how the event itself goes tomorrow. You’ll want to be in Pleasant Park right as it starts, and wear your best skin. I honestly think not being Mello is the right call, as he’ll also be on stage and it would be weird to have a dance floor full of clones, so I’m probably going to go with something else (something I don’t have to buy).

See you out there tomorrow, and get to work on these challenges as I’m not sure how long they’ll stick around.
