A new year is just around the corner and that means we're going to be treated to a bunch of new video games. There's a lot to be excited about and the reality is that there's too many. To make things a bit easier, we're focusing on three video games coming out in 2024 that we think you should give a chance.
Become the Hero
Let's start things off with this upcoming online action RPG from Bandai Namco and published by Amazon. Blue Protocol invites players on a journey to save Regnas. It's a world that's been teetering on the brink of destruction resulting from millennia of conflict and overuse of technology.
Why we're excited:
The game features an action-based combat system features that not only has simply controls but can also be customized to fit any playstyle. That means it doesn't matter if you're an advanced player or a beginner. However, what grabbed our attention was the anime-inspired art. We're excited to start a new adventure and see what Regnas has to offer.
The Young King
Kabam Games takes your gaming experience on the next level with this upcoming title. King Arthur: Legends Rise takes you on an action-packed and turn-based RPG adventure. This dark and mysterious journey is one that's inspired by the perilous adventures of a young King Arthur.
Why we're excited:
We're a sucker for Arthurian stories so this immediately caught our eye. The fights against the epic bosses and the mythical monsters are visually stunning. One good thing about the game is that in addition to the PC, it's also being released on mobile platforms. Some players may not put a high premium on games available on mobile. However, it means that the game can be played anytime and anywhere. The planned cross-platform is definitely a good one.
A Story on a Galactic Scale
Homeworld 3 is a 3D RTS game that's set in space. It offers an extensive campaign mode while putting a premium on solo gameplay. Assume control and fight with your fleet in fully 3D space as you experience an award-winning story unfolding on a galactic scale. It's being developed by Blackbird Interactive and published by Gearbox Publishing.
Why we're excited:
Every now and then it's good to test your wits with RTS games. Combine it with a sci-fi theme and you have yourself a winner. The visuals are excellent and we're excited to learn more about the story. We're also looking forward to the mods where players get to come up with their very own content.
What about you? What video game are you most excited about for 2024?
