Henry Cavill Jokes About CGI In Justice League Cameo.

Henry Cavill looks happy with a slight smile on his face.

Henry Cavill recently discussed his cameo in the upcoming film 'Deadpool & Wolverine' for the first time. The movie features Deadpool, played by Ryan Reynolds, entering the Marvel Cinematic Universe to prevent his world from being erased by the Time Variance Authority. In a brief scene, Deadpool encounters various versions of Wolverine, including one portrayed by Cavill, dubbed 'The Cavillerine.' This nod to fans' desire for Cavill to play Wolverine in the MCU arose due to Hugh Jackman's departure from the role after 'Logan' in 2017.

Cavill humorously referenced his infamous mustache in a social media post related to the role, alluding to the CGI debacle in 'Justice League.' During reshoots for the DC film, Cavill was contractually unable to shave his mustache grown for 'Mission: Impossible - Fallout.' As a result, Warner Bros. resorted to CGI to digitally remove the facial hair, which was met with criticism from fans.

Despite the CGI controversy in 'Justice League,' Cavill's appearance in 'Fallout' was a success, grossing $791 million globally and receiving acclaim. In contrast, 'Justice League' faced mixed reviews and financial challenges, leading to a fan campaign for the release of Zack Snyder's original version. The 2021 release of 'Zack Snyder's Justice League' excluded the contentious CGI-altered scenes, providing a more authentic portrayal of Cavill's Superman.
