Helicopter Crash In Nepal Mountains Near Kathmandu

Rescue team works following a crash of a helicopter carrying Iran's President Ebrahim Raisi, in Varzaqan

A tragic incident occurred on Wednesday as a helicopter carrying five individuals crashed in the mountains just north of Kathmandu, Nepal's capital city. The helicopter, an Eurocopter AS350 operated by Air Dynasty, had departed from Kathmandu international airport at 1:54 p.m. local time with the destination set for the town of Syaprubeshi.

Unfortunately, the helicopter lost contact with the control tower a mere three minutes after takeoff, as reported by the Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal. The crash site, located in the Suryachaur area northwest of Kathmandu, has been reached by rescue teams.

The passengers aboard the ill-fated flight were all Chinese nationals, while the pilot was identified as a Nepali man. At this time, no further details regarding the circumstances of the crash or the condition of those involved have been released.
