Leave it to a supermodel to make isolation look glam. Helena Christensen, who stands alongside names like Naomi Campbell, Cindy Crawford and Christy Turlington as one of the ‘90s Supers, has turned her stay at home order into a swimwear shoot.
The 51-year-old has been keeping safe at her cozy Catskills home in New York with her son and dog since early March.
And rather than let boredom sink in, Christensen has made the most of her retreat with a magazine-worthy photo shoot.
Using the Catskills’ quiet woods as the dreamiest backdrop, Christensen took to modeling her very own designs from her new swimwear collection with designer Camilla Staerk (who was also isolating with Christensen).
Christensen, who is also a photographer, started posting photos in her Staerk & Christensen resort collection towards the end of March.
In true model fashion, she posed alongside creeks in her swimsuit despite the fact that it was still winter weather upstate.
The luxury swimwear line, called Dark Romance, pays homage to Old Hollywood's classic black and white films, and it includes swimsuits (that can also double as bodysuits), coverups, turbans, sandals and sunglasses that are as glamorous as the stars that inspired the collection.
And to help with coronavirus efforts, Christensen shared that a portion of all purchases made from the collection’s accessories will be donated to the nonprofit organization, Citymeals on Wheels.
“Through May 1st, 30% of sales on all Staerk & Christensen signature accessories will be donated to Citymeals on Wheels who are preparing 250,000 meals for homebound senior New Yorkers in response to the coronavirus outbreak," Christensen's site wrote. Time to get shopping.
