Helen Skelton has teased that some of her colleagues from On the Farm didn't initially have much confidence about her stint on Strictly Come Dancing prior to her taking part.
The presenter, 39, competed on the the latest series of the BBC dance contest. She was partnered with Gorka Márquez, 32, on the show and even reached the final.
She discussed the experience whilst fronting Christmas on the Farm this evening. She presented the festive special of the Channel 5 series alongside co-host Jules Hudson, 52.
It was based at Cannon Hall Farm in Barnsley. The two hosts have fronted previous instalments at the venue, like This Week on the Farm and more recently Winter on the Farm.
Jules mentioned towards the start of the festive special that Helen had made them "proud". He said: "There's a certain somebody who has absolutely smashed it [on Strictly]."
She teased: "I love how when I said I was gonna do it you lot were all like 'are you gonna have a crack [at it]? Are you gonna be alright?'." Her colleagues were heard laughing.
Helen continued: "Cheers for the confidence guys." Jules – who like Helen has worked on Countryfile – responded by saying to her: "Well, what a journey you have been on".

Helen took the opportunity to thank her colleagues, as well as viewers, for their support over Strictly. She said that the reaction from fans had made the experience "so much fun".
She said: "Thank you so much for all your support and all of the support from [our viewers]. Every week when you messaged and you voted, it made it so much fun".
Jules proceeded to present her with a trophy that had been made out of hay during the festive episode. He told his co-host: "You are the proud winner of our Glitter-bale".
"This means so much more to me," she teased, before adding: "Joking aside, to have the support of you guys, it made it like our journey, [like it was] our adventure".
Helen reached the final of this year's Strictly, which had aired on Saturday evening. It's since been announced that she's among the line-up for the show's upcoming tour.
She'll appear alongside Hamza Yassin, 32 – who won the series – and fellow finalists Fleur East, 35, and Molly Rainford, 22. Some other contestants are also taking part.
