Helen Skelton was left squirming after her rumoured new romance hit the headlines. The Countryfile host has been linked to Strictly Come Dancing pro Vito Coppola after the pair went head-to-head in the final of the BBC One dance contest in December before hitting the road on the Strictly Live tour.
The presenter was teased about the news stories on her Radio 5 Live show on Sunday (March 5) and quickly shut down any chat about her possible love life after splitting from her rugby star ex husband Richie Myler. Helen announced their separation back in April 2022.
She penned on her Instagram Story at the time: "Very sad to say that Richie and I are no longer a couple. He has left the family home. We will be doing our best to co parent our small children." Richie and Helen share three children - Ernie, Louis, and Elsie Kate, who was born in the December before their split.
Back to now and as she wrapped up her latest appearance on Radio 5 Live, newsreader Steve quipped to Helen "Just looking at the papers. Er, the front page of The Mirror is interesting." In response, Helen thanked him for appearing on the show before she added: "Put the papers down, thank you."
Helen was back on the radio after recently enjoying a break away with her children. The 39-year-old was dubbed a 'Bond girl' as she delved into her digital photo album while basking in the winter sunshine during a half-term holiday to Lanzarote. Sharing a string of snaps from the fun-filled trip, the former Blue Peter host wrote: "Never understood why people kept going back to the same place on holidays then I had children and I got it … we know where the park, the good pasta and the best beach is," before adding a love heart emoji.
In the first snap, Helen could be seen kneeling in the sand as she beamed alongside Louis. The TV star looked amazing as she showed off her washboard abs in a leopard print two-piece bikini. And later in the string of images, the 39-year-old could be seen doing her best 'Bond girl' walk as she exited the sea.
There were also images of Helen sporting a grey vest and denim shorts as she smiled for a group photo with her young children before showing them with other young members of their holiday party.
Meanwhile, Richie took to Instagram to share a sweet snap of himself with new girlfriend Stephanie Thirkill. The Leeds Rhinos star took to Instagram on Monda (March 6) to share the loved-up black and white snap with his partner.
It showed the pair, both 32, resting their heads on one another's as Stephanie put her hands on Richie's face. Both were wearing white shirts, with Stephanie's left buttoned down at the front and resting off of her shoulders. Richie shared the post with a simple red heart as his followers gushed over the "beautiful" photo.
