Helen Skelton has opened up about life as a newly single mum-of-three and the challenges of juggling family and work commitments following her split from husband Richie Myler last month.
Fans were left shocked when the 39-year-old announced in an emotional Instagram post that the Leeds Rhinos player and father of her three children Richie, had left the family home.
The Countryfile star revealed the heartbreaking news to her 277,000 followers, saying: "Very sad to say that Richie and I are no longer a couple. He has left the family home. We will be doing our best to co-parent our small children," along with two heartbroken emojis.

Helen and Richie tied the knot in December 2013 however called it quits eight years later mere months after Helen gave birth to their daughter. The former couple share three young children - Ernie, six, Louis, five and Elsie Kate, five months.
In a new interview with Go Outdoors, Helen said "no one knows what happens behind closed doors" in a cryptic comment when she was asked what she has learned from managing her hectic schedule along with family life following the shocking split. Helen was asked what she has learned from balancing her work life and family life, to which she replied: "Don’t compare yourself to anyone else, no one knows what happens behind closed doors.
"Lists and diaries are good too. If I write down things I need to do I feel like they are a weight off my brain."
Helen, who lives in Leeds, recently told fans she needs a bit of headspace in an Instagram post as she promoted a campaign for Blacks, an outdoor retailer, she said: “I am the kind of person who's just happier outdoors than I am inside. I need a bit of fresh air, I need a bit of green space, I need a bit of headspace. Spending time outdoors, I eat better, I sleep better, I feel better."
Meanwhile, Richie has reportedly been seen with marketing executive Stephanie Thirkill, who is the daughter of the President of Richie's club, Leeds Rhinos.
