Helen Skelton says 'good luck' to Gorka Marquez after Gemma Atkinson's public video message

Helen Skelton has wished Gorka Marquez 'luck' after she was tagged in a video posted by his fiancee Gemma Atkinson. Helen has spent a couple of days back at home with her children in between performing on the Strictly Come Dancing Live tour.

The 39-year-old shared on Sunday evening a video of herself travelling back up to Cumbria in style as she 'raced' home to be ready for the first school run of the week on Monday. First, Helen shared a video from inside her pimped-up taxi which featured its own TV screens, and wrote: "Racing me back for school run," before thanking Silk Executive Travel for the journey.

"What a crazy, made few days. I mean... so much fun! If you came to the shows in Birmingham I hope you enjoyed it. And maybe you're coming to the next Strictly Live show and if you do, fingers crossed you have a blast!" She then admitted to 'having a lot to think about' as she raced home to be with her three children - Ernie, Louis, and Elsie Kate.

And while she may be performing across the country with a different partner after Gorka opted for family time over signing up for the tour, the Countryfile host and Spanish dancer are still good friends and Helen was among the first to respond to Gorka and Gemma's pregnancy announcement.

The couple, who met on Strictly in 2017 when Gemma was a contestant and partner with former pro Aljaž Škorjanec, revealed that they were expecting their second child together and that their daughter, Mia, was set to be a big sister to a baby brother.

But on Monday evening, all eyes were on three-year-old Mia as she got some more dance letters from her dad, who she calls 'Papa', in the family's Greater Manchester home. Hits Radio host Gemma, 38, filmed Gorka telling his daughter what she needed to do before playing the music - or more specifically Mickey by Toni Basil.

Professional dancer Gorka instructed his little girl to put down the prop she was holding after giving her hips a wiggle before strutting over to him to be lifted and twirled around. But Gemma cheekily captioned the video: "@helenskelton I think Mia understand how you felt for 3 months," alongside a crying laughing emoji.

Helen then re-shared the video to her own Instagram Story and sent a clear message to her former dance partner. "My boys have watched this about 100 times... good luck, Gorka. This kid is going to break some hearts," before adding a string of crying laughing emojis.

But Gemma's videos didn't stop there. The former Emmerdale and Hollyoaks star, from Bury, revealed how Gorka is still having to remember the routines from his latest stint on Strictly - but not his own. He's had to remember those of actor Will Mellor and dance partner Nancy Xu thanks to Mia's little crush on Will.

The second clip showed Mia rushing over to her dad who had already performed Will's finger wag from his movie week routine in which he transformed into Patrick Swayze to perform to Cry to Me from the hit movie, Dirty Dancing.

Speaking to Hits Radio ahead of the show's annual Blackpool week back in November, Gemma confessed: "I’s quite embarrassing to say this because you'd think I was coming to support Fleur or Gorka...

"In reality, I’m bringing my daughter Mia to meet Will Mellor because that’s all she wants to do." Gemma added: "I’m not sure why, because he’s never met him before, but he did a dance earlier in the series when he looked down the barrel of the camera and she just turned to me and said 'It’s made me giddy.'"

Captioning the new dancing video, Gemma wrote: "@willmellor76 He's been forced to learn your dances too! We still get 'can we watch Will Melloorrhh," mimicking the way her daughter says the former Corrie star's name. And Will was clearly flattered still as he reshared the video to say how 'cute' it was.
