Helen Skelton has received the firm backing of her Strictly Come Dancing co-stars after making a post on 'surrounding herself with good people' and being grateful for her time on the BBC show.
The former Blue Peter presenter had a tough start to 2022, before embarking on her Strictly journey, following the breakdown of her marriage to rugby star Richie Myler, with it then being reported, just weeks into the series, that he was already expecting a baby with his new girlfriend.
After a rather hesitant first few weeks in the ballroom and a rehearsal 'walk out,' Helen started to flourish after a few weeks and really came into her own when she and pro partner Gorka Marquez performed a Charleston to the Blue Peter theme tune for the Strictly BBC 100th birthday special.

From then on, the couple were regulars near the top of the leaderboard, going into last weekend's final, having come close to earning a perfect score on two occasions, getting 39 out of 40 in both Blackpool. for their Quickstep to Valerie and in the quarter final, for their Coupe's Choice routine to Mein Herr from Cabaret.
Helen and Gorka were second favourites to win Strictly's coveted Glitterball trophy going into the series finale and, in the end the bookies' faith in Hamza and Jowita proved to be spot on, as it was them who ended up snatching victory.
Helen has been kept busy with a string of interviews in the aftermath, after the dust settled on the Strictly final, as well as being confirmed for the show's live tour, but has also taken time to reflect on the amazing time she had on the show. And one of the ways in which she did that was by sharing a photo of herself and Gorka backstage with co-stars Tony Adams and Katya Jones.
She captured the candid shot: "Many a memory. Many a friendship. Grateful for good times and a fab end to 2022. Surround yourself with good people." One of the many people to comment was pro dancer Katya, who responded: "You are a gem," while Gorka reacted with a series of love heart emojis and, another Strictly contestant from this year, Jayde Adams, wrote: "Gorgeous babes."
