Helen Skelton’s ex-husband, Richie Myler, uploaded a gushing post to social media celebrating his new girlfriend’s birthday, just days after Helen cleared her home of the former couple’s joint possessions.
The Countryfile presenter, 39, was captured on camera clearing out items from her house, some of which included hers and Richie’s marriage gifts.
Helen appeared on the TV show Celebrity Yorkshire Auction House, where her possessions were appraised and sold. It was said that she was “taking stock” of her life, with some dubbing it a “revenge clearout”.
One of the items Helen got rid of was an antique vaulting horse, which was a wedding present to herself.
The Strictly Come Dancing contestant, Helen, and rugby league player, Richie, shocked their fans earlier this year, when they announced that they had decided to split up. The pair had been married for eight years.
They confirmed that they had gone their separate ways not long after the birth of their third child.
Richie has since moved on with new partner, Stephanie Thirkill, 33, who is pregnant with the pair's first baby. The new couple were linked together just days after the announcement was made about Richie and Helen’s split, back in April.
Stephanie revealed the couple’s baby news to Instagram in October.
And now the dad-to-be, has taken to the social media platform to celebrate his new belle's birthday, posting a picture with the caption: "Happy birthday bub (red love heart) Thank you for always being you! I love you lots."
Helen revealed to The Sun that appearing on Strictly Come Dancing has been therapeutic for her, following the breakdown of her marriage, which was made more painful after Richie announced he was expecting a baby with his new partner.
She had said: “Strictly is probably quite overwhelming for a lot of people but for me, weirdly, I was actually in the best place to be in it.”
During this weekend’s show, Helen performed a sassy Couples Choice dance with her professional dance partner Gorka Marquez, which will take her to Strictly Come Dancing's next stage.
