Helen Skelton, was absent from Sunday night's episode of Countryfile following split from her husband, who plays for Leeds Rhinos.
The Countryfile star shared the sad announcement that her marriage had ended in emotional Instagram post last week - the pair had been together since 2011.
Helen, 38, had revealed her husband Richie Myler had 'left the family home' - it has since been revealed that Richie, 31, has started a new romance with the daughter of the club's president, Stephanie Thirkill.

The pairs split came just four-months after the pair welcomed their third child, Elsie Kate. They are also parents to sons, Ernie, six, and Louis, four.
They were together from 2011 and married in December 2013. In 2015, they moved to France when Richie played for the Catalan Dragons.
There was no mention made of Helen in tonight's show as well as no explanation as to where she was, although not all presenters are on every week, so it could be a coincidence. She was also missing from last week's episode of Countryfile, which was on just days after the split was announced.
Elsewhere on the episode, a section on Brexit and vets had people riled up.
The segment explored how a shortage of new vets has had an impact on farms and the countryside, caused by Brexit.
And people were quick to react with anger both due to the contents of the segment and, for some, because of the focus on it.
@Janetsmith said: "BBC just said the B word. Brexit causing a severe shortage of farm vets. We relied on European vets coming here."
@Simongosden added: "#countryfile stripping bare the #brexit catastrophe over the lack of vets and the impact on human health due to a lack of checks on food imports from the EU #BrexitReality #BrexitDisaster #brexithasfailed Nobody ‘was available’ from the government to respond!"
@GillianMcshane said: "this report on the state of the veterinary profession is horrifying, but not surprising. None of the new graduates are prepared to do weekends or out of hours. I’ve lost an animal myself because a vet would not attend OOO. Not a vocation anymore…"
@MargaretNelson said: "Another negative Brexit effect's been covered on #Countryfile. The shortage of farm vets is a very serious matter, potentially affecting disease control and animal welfare, as well as the stress on the vets we've got."
But @Bib29823254 added: "Here we go.....bbc gone Brexit bashing again".
@donlemons said: "I think countryfile need to be shut down asap. Anyone would think the government got Britain done. What about all the benefits we have had from Brexit like, taking back control of things tax avoidance."
And in another segment, the presenters discussed issues affecting cows, including one little detail that put a few people off their tea.
@NFGMart said: "Im so glad they are talking about cow vulvas at teatime...
@mowermanjimmy said: "Teets and Vulva's on #countryfile and its not even 6pm....."
