Claims have been made that TV star Helen Skelton employed a private eye in the weeks before her Leeds Rhinos husband left her after nine years of marriage.
Helen, 38, revealed on social media last month that her husband, Richie Myler, 31, had left the family home. She is said to be completely 'bewildered' by the split, which comes just four months after she gave birth to their daughter.
Last week it emerged the rugby player was in a new relationship with a Stephanie Thirkill, 32, the daughter of his club's chairman, just weeks after the marriage ended. It has been stressed there was no "crossover".

Helen has since contacted Stephanie’s husband Richard Sugden, who is from Harrogate, to compare notes from their relationships, reports the Sun. Richie who has three children with Helen aged six, five and four months, says his new relationship only started after he left Helen.
A friend of Helen's said: “She felt something was amiss in her relationship with Richie. Hiring a private investigator was the last thing she wanted to do.
“Emotions are running high and the most important thing to Helen is looking after her three children and making sure they’re OK during the difficult split.”
Helen is hoping to promptly return to presenting Channel 4’s upcoming rugby league coverage, despite the possibility of working alongside Richie. The ex-couple were together from 2011 and married in December 2013. In 2015, they moved to France when Richie played for the Catalan Dragons.
