Helen Skelton has been dubbed a 'northern Bond girl' as she showed off her latest skills on the water. The Countryfile host wowed viewers of Strictly Come Dancing last year as she took on a new challenge, years after being found doing the unimaginable on Blue Peter.
But showing she's still got plenty of talent, Helen took to Instagram and shared a string of images of herself paddle boarding. The 39-year-old could be seen standing on her board, with her wetsuit pulled down to her waist to show off her toned abs.
Helen was sporting a plunging red bikini top and kept her blonde locks down with shades to cover her eyes as she was captured in the water surrounded by the stunning surroundings of the Lake District.

"Busy half term…. Fridge crying to be restocked, machine groaning under the washing but we go back to school grateful for the time and sunshine," the mum-of-three, who split from ex-husband, rugby star Richie Myler, last year, started the caption of her post. "Thanks big bro for the Wembley memories (@bbc5live @bbcsounds my show still available 10am-12).
"Thanks @draytonmanor for the lovely stay, cheers lakes for a glorious camping trip, even squeezed in a morning with @gooutdoors fam, a party for each child and an eve with old pals (soap award pic pending) Thanks as always to the parents and their constant logistical support." She then rounded off her post by joking: "Back to work for a rest."
Gemma Atkinson was among the first to respond to the post with a relatable message, writing: "I can only manage about 6 seconds stood on one of those." While Stacey Dooley typed in the comments section: "It’s giving …northern Bond girl."
Fans meanwhile were quick to show Helen their support as she appeared to have an exhausting yet memory-filled break with her loved ones. @never2oldfurniture said: "All the parental hard work during school breaks, will bring you fabulous memories, Helen. Enjoy your time and treasure those memories."
@derren.jones commented: "Looks fun and you look amazing." @aileenheane wrote: "Beautiful Lake District we live nearby in Penrith missed you at go outdoors though!" @sarahlou_clark shared: "Proper action hero is our @helenskelton unbelievable hun at least you get a little break whilst kids go to school." @rozzierags added: "Helen you are amazing and you have an incredible family they are a credit to you."
And back to Gemma and Helen was seen with the Hits Radio host as they both took to the stage at the British Soap Awards over the weekend. While Helen co-presented an award on the night with Scott Mills, Gemma celebrated her former on-screen partner Mark Charnock, who plays Marlon Dingle in Emmerdale, with an Outstanding Achievement award.
Sharing her own pictures from the star-studded bash, which was recorded in front of a live audience at The Lowry in Salford before being aired on ITV on Tuesday night, Helen wrote on Instagram: "What a privilege to see this top talent up for so many awards."
She added: "Respect @niknaksanderson …." as her first picture featured the beaming Hollyoaks star. Another picture showed Helen with Gemma, 38, and her Strictly dance partner Gorka Marquez who accompanied his pregnant fiancee to the bash.
"So nice to see you and have a semi decent catch up," the Spanish dancer posted in the comments alongside a crying laughing emoji.
