Helen Skelton became the final star to sign up for Strictly Come Dancing, with the news being announced just months after her split from husband Richie Myler.
The Countryfile presenter, 39, will compete in the BBC show later this year alongside the likes of Loose Women star Kaye Adams and footballing legend Tony Adams.
Helen's Strictly adventure will come just five months after her marriage broke down. The TV personality split from Richie, 32, after their eight-year marriage faltered.
The couple parted ways four months after welcoming their third child together. They share three children Ernie, seven, Louis, five, and eight-month-old Elsie Kate.
As Helen gets ready to take on the dancing challenge, we take a look back at her relationship with her ex-husband.
Helen and Richie first met in 2011 and instantly hit things off, before the rugby player proposed in March 2012. They tied the knot in December 2013 at St Michael's Church in Kirkby Thore – the village near Penrith where Helen grew up.
It was previously reported that the venue had significance to Helen, as all of her family had been christened at the church and her grandmother had been an organist there.
The bride – who was at the time a presenter on Blue Peter – arrived at the church in a black Range Rover. She wore an understated yet glamorous sleeveless gown for the ceremony, with the laced dress accompanied by a silver belt around the waist and matching heels.
Helen wore a laced veil and silver headpiece, styling her hair in a vintage fashion. She had three bridesmaids on the special occasion who wore matching sequinned gowns for the occasion.
The groom opted for a traditional black suit for the wedding, complete with a white shirt, black bow tie and floral lapel.
Two years into their marriage, Helen gave birth to their first son together, Ernie. The pair later welcomed a second son Louis in 2017.
Their third child, Elsie, was born in December 2021. After Elsie’s arrival, the couple gave an interview where Helen revealed that Richie had been 'on tenterhooks' for about a month prior to her birth.
"All the way through November, he was convinced I’d have her early. Every time I called him, he would say: 'Are you in labour?'," she told Hello! magazine.
The couple seemed like a dream pairing, with Helen previously calling Richie her "team mate" on Instagram.
However, Helen announced in April that she and Richie are "no longer a couple" and said he had moved out of the family home.
She wrote a short statement on Instagram, which read: "Very sad to say that Richie and I are no longer a couple. He has left the family home. We will be doing our best to co parent our small children." She concluded it with a series of broken heart emojis.
Richie has since moved on with Stephanie Thirkill and has been posting loved-up snaps with his new girlfriend. Stephanie is the daughter of Leeds Rhinos president Andrew Thirkill.
Helen is said to be upset at seeing Richie move on so quickly after their split.
A source told OK! : "Helen is devastated. It’s one thing knowing it’s happening, but it’s another thing actually seeing it.
"For him to post it all over Instagram has been hard. She feels like this is rubbing it in her face, and it’s a knife to the heart. It just seems a bit insensitive."
They added: "Helen has kept a dignified silence. All of her friends are rallying around her. They’re supporting her and keeping her spirits up."
Helen is said to be focusing on her children and work. Ahead of her appearance on Strictly, Helen opened up about why she wanted to join the show.
She explained: "I only said yes the other day, because I did the Christmas one years and years ago and the hair is the best. The makeup is incredible the costumes are incredible. Who gets to work and be made to look a bit like Beyonce and have a fun time?
"So I thought it would be madness not to do it. It will be so much fun," she told host Claudia Winkleman during her BBC Radio 2 show.
