Helen Skelton ‘accidentally reveals’ Strictly Come Dancing pro partner

Helen Skelton has dropped a huge hint about who her pro partner may be on this series of Strictly Come Dancing.

Eagle eyed fans spotted that the TV presenter followed Strictly pro Neil Jones on Instagram. He was the only dancer out of the cast who got a follow and he swiftly returned the favour by following back.

The social media interaction could be a sign as they will be taking to the dancefloor, along with the other contestants this autumn.

Neil has previously danced with Alex Scott, who he came fifth with, and Nina Wadia, who ended up in 15th place. Helen will be taking part in this series following her recent marriage breakdown.

On making her debut on the ballroom floor, Helen said: "I'm really excited to get stuck into a fun adventure. My family and friends have always loved the show and can't wait for me to get started."

Speaking on BBC Radio 2 at the weekend, she revealed she only agreed to do the show recently but said she was keen to sign up after competing in the Christmas special in 2012, The Sun reports.

She added: "Who gets to go to work and made to look a bit like Beyonce and have a fun time? So I just thought, this is madness to not do it, of course I should do it. It'll be so much fun."

Helen also admitted that she does have some dance background as she once competed in the Ken Dodd tap dancing awards.

Stars for this year BBC competition include football legend Tony Adams, Fleur East, Bros legend Matt Goss, comedian Ellie Taylor and Loose Women's Kaye Adams.

Coronation Street favourites Will Mellor and Kym Marsh will also take to the dance floor this year. The last series of Strictly was won by Rose Ayling-Ellis with professional partner Giovanni Pernice.
