Helen Skelton was absent from this week’s episode of Countryfile just days after announcing the news of her marriage breakdown.
The Countryfile star shared the sad announcement that her marriage had ended in emotional statement which she posted to her Instagram stories last week.
The TV star, 38,revealed her husband Richie Myler had 'left the family home' as she opened up about her heartbreak after their love story crumbled after eight years of marriage.
Helen and Richie's split came just four-months after the pair welcomed their third child, Elsie Kate.
The pair are also parents to sons, Ernie, six, and Louis, four.
And just a few days after sharing her heartbreaking marriage news, Countryfile viewers were saddened to see Helen missing from the latest episode as they shared their love for the strong star.
It has yet to be confirmed if Helen's absence had anything to do with her split from Richie but Sunday’s episode of the hit show was led by Adam Henson and Anita Rani.
Upon noticing that Helen was nowhere to be seen in the latest episode, curious fans flocked to Twitter to question where the much-loved TV star was.
"Turned on Countryfile to see Helen after this week but she's not on it. She must be taking some time to herself, the poor woman," one viewer suggested.
"My heart goes out to Helen. Of course she wouldn't be working at a time like this," someone else echoed.
"Helen is a strong and brave woman who just needs some time away from the limelight to deal with her family problems. Leave her be," another insisted.
The TV star's absence comes after Sun now reported that her husband Richie has 'started a romance' with a new woman a number of weeks after their split.
Richie's pals have claimed the sports star has 'seen the young businesswoman several times recently' as their friendship has continued to grow.
Insiders claim that Richie is in 'the very early stages of a relationship' with the mystery new woman and it came after his split from Helen.
“Richie appears to have been spending a lot of his free time with this younger, successful businesswoman," an insider told The Sun.
“They are now in the early stages of a relationship," they added.
The Mirror has reached out to representatives of Richie and Helen for further comment.
