Helen Flanagan suffers 'worst feeling in the world' as she loses daughter in supermarket

Helen Flanagan has revealed the terrifying moment she realised she had lost her daughter, admitting it was the 'worst feeling ever.'

The mum-of-three, 32, was in the supermarket when she lost sight of her oldest child 'for a second.'

After Matilda, seven, 'wandered off', the Coronation Street star admitted she couldn't see her for 'about a minute', admitting it was the 'longest 60 seconds of her life'.

Speaking about the distressing experience, Helen said: "I must have turned by back for a second. I remember having this horrible, sinking feeling. I always keep an eye on my kids but I couldn't see her for a about a minute. There's nothing worse than that, it's the worst, worst feeling ever."

The actress explained she has drilled it into her kids to stay close to her, telling new! magazine: "they are good with that but you need eyes in the back of your head."

The I'm A Celebrity star has three children, Matilda, Delilah, four and Charlie, two, who she shares with footballer Scott Sinclair.

The couple split in October, but continue to co-parent their kids.

When asked whether mums need to be more 'aware' when it comes to looking after children, Helen replied: "Oh I don't know if I want to answer that in case what I say is controversial [laughs], but yeah, for me my children are so precious."

Helen's former fiance recently shared a sweet message on social media following the former couple's split.

Posting an adorable picture on Instagram, the former Chelsea and Swansea star told his followers "family is everything" as he enjoyed spending time with his children.

He appeared to be away with his brothers - Martin and Jake - nephews and nieces and sisters-in-law for the getaway after the season had finished for his current side Bristol Rovers.

With the kids away, Helen admitted she missed her brood terribly after trying to fill her time with work and catching up with friends.

Taking to her Instagram, she shared a snap of Matilda and Delilah as they cuddled in close to their mum.

In a second photo, Helen could been seen breastfeeding little Charlie at a restaurant table as she gazed down and smiled at him.

She captioned the pictures: "Don’t know what I’d do without my babies."

The actress had an emotional phone call with her daughters during her recent stint on I'm A Celebrity...South Africa.

As she went to a clearing in the Kruger National Park, her mother Julia answered the phone, telling her daughter the girls had been on their best behaviour.
