Helen Flanagan's parenting skills praised after trolls mum-shame her

Helen Flanagan has been shrouded in praise after being cruelly mum-shamed earlier this month. The Coronation Street star is candid about mum life on Instagram, often being honest about her struggles with parenting her three children - seven-year-old Matilda, four-year-old Delilah and two-year-old Charlie.

I'm A Celeb campmate Helen, 32, is currently co-parenting her brood with Bristol Rovers winger Scott Sinclair, 34, following their split last year. In a series of snaps posted to her Instagram grid on Monday night (June 19), Helen shared the reality of trying to get a sweet picture with three young children.

"Trying to get a family picture with my kids," Helen captioned the carousel of chaos, with some laughing and heart emojis. Helen's children could be seen going from sitting nicely on her lap and around her as she held a glass of wine, to crawling across the floor and ending up riding their mum's back.

Helen's fans praised the mum-of-three for her candid post, with many encouraging her parenting efforts following recent criticism. One wrote: "Couldn't be more accurate."

"You are all adorable," another commented. "Thriving."

A third said: "You're such a great mum. Keep going."

Earlier this month, cruel trolls took aim at Helen after she shared a few photos with her youngest, Charlie, as she revealed that he had been having "off the scale tantrums". "Trying to get pictures with my two year old," Helen joked, as she posed with her son.

The soap star was swiftly criticised for her parenting, with one accusing her of talking to her kids "like you are talking to puppies" as another wrote: "You need to act like there mum...they need tough love and disaplin [sic]."

"Have you ever thought they don't want photos and kisses all the time," questioned a third. "I've never known anyone to ask their kids for kiss after kiss???"

Helen screenshotted some of the hate comments and shared them with her fans, who defended her. One reassured Helen: "They are only little once, not all kids need tough love."

"We see 2 seconds on Instagram," said another. "How do we know she isn’t playing with him the rest of the time. Also most celebrities get paid to use instagram."
