Helen Flanagan's candid reason for being 'happy' to leave home as she treats herself before posing with rarely seen sister

Helen Flanagan didn't hide her reasons when she shared why she was 'happy' to leave home without her kids over the weekend. The Bury-born actress shared how she 'treated herself' to lunch out with a friend as she returned to her former stomping ground.

In a video posted to her Instagram Story as she updated her loyal social media followers on her weekend antics on Sunday evening, the mum-of-three could be seen posing in the mirror on the landing of her white and black-decorated home as she sported a pair of light pink gym leggings and black top under her extravagant black and pink fur-trimmed coat.

As she showed off her laid-back look, which also saw her don white socks and pale pink trainers with a pair of sunglasses pushed back over her slicked back hair, Helen, 32, typed: "Saturday day I went out for lunch with my friend @josdiestrings in Alderley Edge. I miss living round there. I hardly ever go out during the day at weekends without the kids so this was a nice treat for me."

She then shared how she treated herself to a bit more of a luxury journey to meet her friends, choosing to travel with Silk Executive Travel, which is also loved by Gemma Atkinson and her fiance Gorka Marquez. She was seen pouting for the camera with a glass of fizz in hand before sharing a smiling image of herself taken by her driver.

"I made my lovely driver take quite a few pics as the light just wasn't right," Helen admitted alongside a crying laughing emoji before she then confessed: "I was so happy to be leaving the house especially because Charlie did a huge poo explosion just before I left [crying laughing emojis]."

But Sunday was all about the kids as she and her sister held a joint birthday party for her son Charlie and Jessica's son, Henry. She shared clips of the kids having a whale of a time at The Little Lancashire Village before Helen posed for a selfie with her sister. "Love you so much @jessicanancyflanagan. My sister and my best friend."

Former Coronation Street star Helen then reshared a post from Jessica which showed Charlie planting a kiss on his cousin who didn't look all too thrilled about it. "Charlie is @hjflanagan and Henry is me," Jessica admitted.

Helen, who is famed for playing Rosie Webster in the ITV soap, has since returned to Instagram with a string of snaps alongside her daughter, Delilah. "Fresh week, fresh goals, let’s go," she posted alongside the sweet mother-and-daughter images.

It comes after the former soap star, who is also mum to eldest daughter Matilda who she shares with footballer Scott Sinclair, made a 'hard' admission about being a mum. After imploring her fans to ask her questions, she later returned to her social media platform to start answering some of the messages she had been sent. One read: "How do you find having three kids? I'm frazzled lol."

Helen replied by sharing a photo of herself looking rather exhausted to which she then admitted in a written message alongside "I find being a mum hard." She went on to share: "I feel tired most of the time and like I have to split myself into three but just love them so much. Would never change it for the world and I just give them all I've got every day x."
