Helen Flanagan 'overwhelmed' over I'm A Celeb support but sad to leave the jungle

Helen Flanagan has taken to her social media to thank her fans for all the "lovely messages" she has been receiving following her stint in the South African jungle for the I'm A Celebrity...Get Me Out Of Here! All-Stars spin-off show.

The mum-of-three gushed over how much she loved to return to the reality show, following her initial appearance on the Australian jungle in 2012 alongside hosts Ant and Dec, where she became infamous for getting hysterical at the gruesome tasks.

But the former Corrie star vowed to tackle her fears head-on this time round, as we previously reported how she was applauded for her performance on the ITV show alongside her fellow campmates including returning celebs Carol Vorderman and Gillian McKeith.

Sporting a tiara with a gold star attached to the front of it in a nod to the trials of the show where the campmates are tasked with gathering as many as possible for their grub at night, Helen gushed over her time on the programme.

"I honestly can't thank everyone enough for all the lovely messages since leaving the Jungle," she wrote.

Helen then went on to chat about how much she enjoyed the jungle experience this time round, after being reduced to tears at challenges in the last series she took part in.

She added: "I loved the experience so much. I am sad to be out," as she spoke to fans on her Instagram page in the back of a car. The star on her tiara said 'most improved campmate.'

We reported previously how Helen shared heartwarming footage of her returning from her month-long stint in South Africa for the show which was filmed in September last year.

The 32-year-old shared the sweet moment she reunited with her kids and ex Scott Sinclair, 34, back home in an emotional reunion.

It comes as the pair of 13 years split following their engagement after hitting a "rough patch" in the summer of last year. The couple share daughter Matilda, seven, Delilah, four, and son Charlie, two.

Ex-Celtic player Scott can be seen in the black and white video clip waiting for Helen to return through the door as he stands on the stairs, with the actress confessing she was upset to leave her kids for the month-long stint on I’m A Celeb.

She wrote: "Found this video of when I came back from the jungle. I was away for one month and never left my babies before."

Helen also shared an Instagram post of some heartwarming pictures of her and the kids, revealing how she missed her daughter Delilah's first day of reception.

Despite their split, Helen continued to keep her engagement ring on during filming for the ITV show as she said she didn't want to draw attention to the fact their relationship had ended.
