Helen Flanagan has divided opinion after posting to social media while attending Aintree Racecourse to watch the races on Ladies Day.
Dressed in a red off-the-shoulder dress by Karen Millen, the soap actress showed off her outfit in a post that was flooded with comments. Many were compliments, praising the 32-year-old's outfit, however others were unhappy with Helen attending the event.
Many hated what she was up to on Friday, with some branding the event as the "epitome of cruelty for horses", writes the Mirror.
Former Towie star Amber Dowding was among one of those complementing Helen, writing: "Wow!! Helen you look amazing. You would have won best dressed for me."
While many other fans commented that the soap star looked "Beautiful" and "Stunning".
However, a backlash was sparked among others who were disappointed to see Helen heading to the Grand National. One conflicted fan commented: "I absolutely adore you, but I'm really disappointed in this supporting horse racing."
Other fans were more critical of the star, expressing their disappointment that Helen had attended the major horse racing event.
One follower wrote: "I've been supporting you for so long but nah, this sport is the epitome of cruelty for horses. As an ex animal welfare lawyer it actually disgusts me. So I’m out, all the best."
Another agreed, writing: "I’m unfollowing too for the same reason. You bet, they die…."
Every year, the Grand National - as well as other horse racing events - attracts anger from some animal rights activists who disapprove of the sport.
The Mirror writes that three horses have died after collapsing and falling injured while running around the Aintree Racecourse to compete for the £560,000 prize. The event saw attempted disruption from protests with 118 people reportedly arrested.
