Helen Flanagan details struggle as she says she's going to be 'humiliated' after 'horrendous' I'm A Celebrity moment

Helen Flanagan has opened up about her hormonal struggle as she detailed how she's set to be 'humilated' by her return to the small screen. The former Coronation Street star was seen catching up with her followers in a series of videos posted on her Instagram Story.

She looked into the camera with a moody glance as she said: "Hey guys, how are we?" while resting her elbow on what appeared to be her kitchen counter as she rested the phone up in order to talk. "I'm being really moody today I'm not going to lie. I'm really hormonal," she admitted.

Helen, 32, who looked relaxed in a black tank top tucked into a pair of grey lounge pants while she kept her freshly dyed blonde locks scraped back off of her face, continued: "Any other women that have had hyperemesis [gravidarum] ... I'm really hormone sensitive so this is why I struggle with PMS and had hyperemesis [gravidarum]

"But I've actually started to get really bad nausea from my periods. I sometimes even throw up. It's really weird but I feel quite moody today. There's actually nothing interesting to say, I just feel like I'm drowning in housework," she then laughed.

However, Helen did go on to share how she's worried about "humiliating" herself thanks to a "horrendous" trial that kickstarted her stint in I'm A Celebrity... South Africa. The former soap star headed to South Africa last year to film the 'All Star' series which is due to hit screens on Monday (April 24).

The brand new spin-off of the hit ITV reality show, I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here, sees the return of some the most memorable stars to have tackled the hit reality TV show in the past two decades.

Heading for a new setting on the southernmost tip of the African continent alongside Helen is boxing champion Amir Khan; Diversity dancer and DJ Jordan Banjo; TV presenter Carol Vorderman; Olympic athlete Fatima Whitbread; former royal butler Paul Burrell; ex-England cricketer Phil Tufnell; supermodel Janice Dickinson and music legend Shaun Ryder.

But unlike the original format, the first I’m A Celebrity Legend will not feature a public vote. Instead, the celebrities will be competing against one another to be crowned the legend.

"The Trial of how I entered the jungle… I can’t even tell you how horrendous it was," Helen, who headed Down Under for I'm A Celeb in 2012, said in her latest video. "I'm just thinking, 'I’m probably really going to humiliate myself in front of the whole of the UK tomorrow' – great," as she gave a jokey thumbs up to the camera.

She then elaborated on what viewers can expect to see, saying: “The trial that I did was so bad, so horrendous that I genuinely don’t think that I could do it again. It was awful."
