Two of the most popular condiments in the United Kingdom are set for a Platinum Jubilee makeover ahead of the festivities in June.
Heinz have announced that their brown sauce and salad cream will be renamed ahead of the Jubilee. The new names will be 'HM Sauce' and 'Salad Queen' and they will be launching onto supermarket shelves this week.
The news comes ahead of the four-day weekend that is planned for the start of June. The long weekend will see many people across the country take part in street parties and other celebrations to mark the historic occasion.
Heinz senior brand manager Anke von Hanstein said: "This is an extraordinary moment for the Queen and the great British public, and we want to celebrate this with two of our most well-loved and historic sauces.
"Releasing limited-edition bottles in time for the Jubilee felt like the perfect fit. We hope our customers enjoy these celebratory designs and that they add a squeeze of fun to the Jubilee celebrations, however one is celebrating."
The Queen's jubilee celebrations are set to get underway on Thursday June 2. A range of events are planned to mark the special occasion across the four-day weekend.
These include a huge street party in Manchester arena, trooping the colour and a Platinum Party at the Palace which will see some of the biggest entertainers in the world perform at Buckingham Palace.
The commonwealth is set to unite to mark the historic occasion. Members of the Royal Family will be celebrating the occasion with the Queen; she will also be attending some of the events herself.
