Preparing a festive meal is one of the biggest traditions of the festive season for many of us - but have you ever fancied having your entire Christmas dinner out of a tin?
Heinz has re-launched its popular Christmas Dinner soup, which comes complete with turkey breast, pigs in blankets, sage and onion stuffing balls, potatoes, sprouts, carrots, parsnips, and cranberry sauce. After making just 500 cans of the soup last year which quickly sold out, a whopping 20,000 of them will be available to buy this festive season from selected Asda stores.
This year a vegan version of the soup will also hit the shelves, which includes meat-free sausages and stuffing balls mixed in with vegetables. At just £2 per tin, it certainly comes in much cheaper than a traditional Christmas dinner - but the idea of having their favourite festive meal out of a can has left shoppers divided.

Some were not a fan of the concept, branding the unconventional meal "rank" and "minging" - but others said that they were keen to try out the soup. "Perfect for those that are unable to cook/prepare Christmas dinner themselves and don't have family, especially those with not much appetite," one shopper praised.
Similarly, another fan added: "Yes please! I’m single and won’t cook myself a full Christmas dinner because it’s just me… this looks good and would be a good way to still have it."
Anke von Hanstein, brand manager for Heinz Soups, said of the tin last year: "It is made for those with a big love for hearty festive flavours, and tastes just perfect with a slice of warm crusty bread. Any soup that includes pigs in blankets and roasties is a winner in our eyes."
