PARTS of Scotland will see the return of heavy rain this week after the Met Office issued a yellow weather warning.
The alert, which covers part of Aberdeen, Aberdeenshire, Angus, Tayside, Perth and Kinross, Stirling and the Highlands, will come into force from 6am on Thursday until shortly before midnight on Saturday evening.
Parts of Scotland saw up to three weeks’ worth of rain fall over a short period of time earlier this month, leading to businesses and homes being flooded.
It comes after a body was found in the River Tay on Saturday, one week after a pensioner was swept away after losing his footing during floods.
The latest warning could mean more flooding as the Met Office warned of a danger to life due to fast moving water.
Power and phone lines could be impacted while motorists have been urged to take care due to dangerous driving conditions.
Public transport could also be subject to delays and cancellations.
