'Heavy police presence' after disturbance outside Nottinghamshire cinema

There was a 'heavy police presence' outside a Nottinghamshire cinema on Saturday, March 25 because of a 'disturbance'. Officers say they were called to Station Road in Beeston shortly before 8.30pm.

Eyewitnesses said it appeared as though officers were in the area around the Arc Cinema. Officers remain in the area almost two hours later as inquiries continue.

They are now appealing for any witnesses to come forward. A Nottinghamshire Police spokesman said: "Officers were called to Station Road, Beeston, following reports of a disturbance.

"Police attended at around 8.25pm today (25 March) and remain at the scene while an investigation takes place. Inquiries are still ongoing to establish what happened, so we’d ask anyone who has any information to contact the police."

Anyone with any information is asked to call Nottinghamshire Police on 101. This should be done quoting incident 712 of 25 March.
