Chief of Department Jeffrey B. Maddrey emphasized the significance of the arrest, stating that the amount of ammunition and NYPD paraphernalia found in the suspect's car was substantial. The discovery of such a cache of weapons and gear raised serious concerns among law enforcement officials.
