One savvy shopper has found a way to dry their clothes for just 3p an hour amid the cost of living crisis. The Liverpool Echo reports that the drying product sold by Dunelm is a game-changer.
Emily said: “My mum recommended purchasing a heated airer to dry my washed clothes quickly and efficiently, and I never really saw the fuss, until now. I recently purchased a 3-Tier Heated Airer from Dunelm, which is designed to heat up the drying process and I’ve never looked back."
Costing £100, the airer is made from aluminium and is suitable for up to 15kg of washing. Emily continued: "It’s supplied with an additional storage rack which means I can stack as much washing on it as I can."
Rating the airer she said: “I can manage about a wash and a half on the rack depending on what’s been washed, and it takes seconds to heat up. The warmth of the airer also doubles up as a heater, which makes my spare room nice and warm (hopefully saving money on heating bills."
Emily was also quick to do some maths on the product and worked out that it costs from 3p an hour to run, which would save you 37p - with the latest 54 per cent increase that happened this month. Using the airer five days a week would save around £1.85, and £9.25 a month.
Emily went on to add: “I honestly haven’t looked back since purchasing this airer, I never saw the fuss with the product until now. It’s so easy to get my washing done, and the fact that it doubles up as a heater is a bonus.”
So if you’ve been looking at ways to save your money this month, investing in a heated clothes airer could be just what you need.
