Heartstopping moment idiot biker 'pulls wheelie' in heavy traffic on Scots road

The heartstopping moment an idiot biker almost toppled off their motorbike while pulling a ‘wheelie’ on a busy Edinburgh street has been caught on camera. Drivers were forced to brake sharply and swerve out the way of the rider, who was seen pulling several dangerous manoeuvres on Corstorphine Road on Sunday.

Despite the area being busy with other motorists and pedestrians, the yob drove at speed between the two lanes of traffic before pulling a u-turn in front of oncoming cars. The rider was filmed pulling the bike back up onto its back tyre and driving at speed towards the city.

One alarmed motorist, who captured the footage on their dash camera, told the Daily Record: “This person is an absolute moron who clearly has no regard for their own safety or anyone else.

“Corstorphine Road is always jam packed with traffic and pedestrians but they decided it was absolutely fine to cause this chaos in broad daylight on a Sunday afternoon.

“I noticed that several people on the pavement were stopping and all looking in the same direction when I heard the tell-tale exhaust of the scrambler bike. My jaw dropped when I saw it coming towards me on one wheel.

“It was only by good fortune that they didn’t come off their bike during that wheelie as the bike very clearly wobbled which is why I moved over to the left.

“They were obviously having a great time though, thinking they were the big man but really they’ve clearly just got a death wish. They probably wouldn't have enjoyed it as much if they came off in front of a moving car though.”

Police Scotland said they had not yet received any reports of dangerous driving in the area.
