Heartstopper's Kit Connor and Joe Locke force change to This Morning as Phillip makes prediction

Heartstopper actors Kit Connor and Joe Locke forced a last ditch change to he This Morning schedule as Phillip Schofield made a ig prediction about the futures, given the success of the Netflix show they star in.

Since its release on the streaming platform last Friday, Heartstopper has become quite possibly he most talked about TV show across the globe, as viewers the world over watch and react to the show about the blossoming relationship between openly gay teenager Charlie and school rugby star Nick, who he ends up being forced to sit next to in class. Joe plays Charlie, with Kit playing opposite him as Nick. And, as scores of Netflix viewers rush to binge the whole thing, both young actors have come in or heaps of praise for those who have seen Heartstopper.

The massive attention the eight part series has received over the past week has meant that Joe and Kit have gone from being relative unknowns to household names and, giving one of their first interviews, they joined Philip Schofield and Holly Willoughby on Thursday's This Morning. And right at the start of the chat, Phillip revealed that producers needed to hastily rejig the timing of their appearance, given the fact that they needed to get back to studying for their A-levels.

Phillip explained: "We've put you on early in the show, because we probably would have saved you til much, much later, you know headline act kind of thing. However, we've put you on early because you've got to go and study for your A-levels."

He added: "So life does continue. Come July you are free," before quizzing Joe on how it felt for his first major acting role to explode in such a big way. And, as the interview came to and, Phillip said he thought things 'would never be the same again,' for the duo, given that they are on the show that everyone is talking about.

Co-host Holly told Joe and Kit: "I'm so excited for both of you and the career you've got in front of you with all of this," before Phillip added: "I mean it's mad actually. You are sitting on the edge of this whole thing exploding; you haven't got any other interviews toady, because you've got your exams and you're studying.

"It launched on Friday and it's massive. It's one of those moments where people sit on the sofa here and you think 'it's never going to be the same for you.' This is a big, big moment, enjoy it."
