Heartstopper fans have been treated to a selection of hilarious outtakes from the hit Netflix series. Netflix UK and Ireland shared the over two-minute-long blooper reel on social media on Thursday, May 5, and it's already taken the internet by storm.
The short clip shows just how much fun the cast had filming the coming of age LGBTQ+ series and has already received more than 100,000 likes on Twitter and over on Instagram has been viewed more than one million times. The outtakes show the cast fluffing their lines, messing up takes, singing on set and having a good old laugh.
One of the moments shows Joe Locke, who plays Charlie, forgetting to take his mask off for a take and none of the cast members realising. Another clip is Joe getting stuck in a sports vest and William Gao, who plays Tao, has to rescue him. But one particular clip that's got fans talking was when Olivia Colman got so 'overwhelmed' filming Nick's coming out scene she completely forgot her lines.
Kit Connor, who plays Nick Nelson, in the Netflix series had revealed in an interview on ITV's This Morning last month that he had made award-winning actress Olivia Colman cry during rehearsals and now we can see why. During the bloopers reel she says after hugging Kit who plays Nick: "I can't remember my words. I just got overwhelmed by your little face!"
Heartstopper has already developed a huge fandom and needless to say they went wild for the outtakes, with many delighted to see more clips of the cast on set. Maria Clara tweeted: "I'm gonna cry, Olivia saying she forgot her lines bc she got overwhelmed by kit's little face in the coming out scene" and Nat added: "Can we pls talk about the cuteness that is Olivia Colman?".
Drew tweeted: "Awww! It surely doesn’t get much better than this @kit_connor! The mighty Olivia Colman overcome with emotion in this wonderful ‘coming out’ scene and forgetting her lines". David Krisnandika added: "The bloopers are hilarious. @joelocke03 #Heartstopper".
Elizabeth tweeted: "Love every second of this! Made me smile & giggle so much!" and Vivi said: "Two minutes is not enough I need MORE" with Micki agreed tweeting: "2 minutes is not enough. We need more".
Many fans are now eagerly waiting for a second series announcement but Netflix haven't confirmed anything just yet. Paolo said: "They really cast the perfect people for the roles, WOW! Absolutely in love with the show, hopefully there will be a next season". "Now we’re ASKING for a season 2 and profile icons," Katie added.
