Hearts transfer latest as English Premier League talent 'lined up' by Robbie Neilson

Hearts are lining up a move for Alex Mighten from Nottingham Forest, according to a report.

Robbie Neilson is on the hunt for attacking options to bolster his squad as the capital club get set to juggle domestic and European matters. They face a massive Europa League return clash at a sold-out Tynecastle on Thursday night as they trail Swiss champions FC Zurich 2-1 on aggregate with a spot in the group stage and the financial windfall that comes with it up for grabs to the winner.

It's not all doom and gloom for the loser of the tie, with the Europa Conference League group stage guaranteed, with another seven Euro clashes the minimum the Gorgie club will face between now and Christmas. The Jambos have already been busy in the transfer market this summer adding the likes of Jorge Grant, Lawrence Shankland, Alan Forrest and Kye Rowles. Now Football Scotland report that Mighten is on a list of options Neilson is looking it and he would ideally like him in the door before Thursday's play-off second leg.

Whether or not that can be pulled off is up in the air according to the publication who state the English Premier League new boys are delaying an agreement over wage contributions.

The 20-year-old was handed his EPL debut as a late substitute in the opening day defeat at Newcastle United and featured 27 times in all competitions last term. The attacker is contracted at the City Ground until 2025.
