Callum Paterson was the hero for Sheffield Wednesday as they claimed top spot in England's League One with victory over title rivals Plymouth - but he suffered an injury blow shortly after.
Hearts made their move to bring the Scotland international back to Tynecastle during the January transfer window with his contract up in the summer but The Owls stood firm and he remains part of their plans for the remainder of the season. He could yet make the move north at the end of the season a pre-contract and if he is to do that, his contribution to the cause at Hillsborough won't be forgotten in a hurry.
The former Jambos star scored a stunning volley in the early stages of the top of the table clash as his side claimed a priceless three points with a one-nil win. It helped Wednesday move about Argyle into top spot on goal difference - with a game in hand. Both sides have been in flying form as they bid for a return to the English Championship. Ipswich are close on their tails with just six points between them while Derby County are also in the mixer just a further two back on the Portman Road side.

The only down side to Paterson's afternoon was the fact he was forced off with an injury, which has left boss Darren Moore gutted admitting it 'doesn't look good'
He said: “It was a professional performance all over the pitch. We had to start the game we did because we are playing the team at the top of the league.
“We came out flying, we put them on the back foot and credit to the players, I’m so pleased for them tonight.
“Pato took his goal really well and it’s such a shame for him that he had to come off later in the game.
“It’s a muscular injury and I’ve just spoken to him now, it’s sore, and we will have him assessed over the next day or two but I’ve got to be honest, it doesn’t look good.”
Next up for the table toppers is an FA Cup reply with Celtic hero Scott Brown and his Fleetwood Town side. The first meeting between the pair ended 1-1.
