A 26-year-old man who died after an incident at a farm in Anglesey will be missed forever, his friend has said. Farmer Macauley Owen died following an incident which happened on Tuesday, January 3, when he suffered injuries at the farm in Carreglfen, Amlwch.
North Wales Police officers said they were called to the farm at 9.15pm on Tuesday to reports that a man had received injuries while working on the farm. Paramedics took him to Royal Stoke University Hospital, where he died on Friday, January 6, NorthWalesLive reports.
Childhood friend Osian Evans, said his loved ones attended the hospital to say goodbye to Macauley. In a touching tribute, he said: “God took another angel home. You laid there in that hospital bed, you tried so hard to hold on. God was calling you home. He needed another angel to help pour out the rain. Tears have fallen, hearts were shattered, but it was time for you to go home. Your loved ones came to say their last goodbyes. To tell you they loved you, and that you will be forever missed.
"RIP Macauley Owen. I will always cherish the moments, memories and laughter we had over the long years of friendship we shared. Always hard working, happy, smiling, laughing and joking. It’s never going to be the same without you. Rest easy brother, you will be truly missed by so many! Shine bright up there big man." In a statement on Friday a spokesperson for North Wales Police said: "A 26-year-old man has died following an incident at a farm in Carreglefn, Amlwch. Police were called at 9.15pm on Tuesday 3rd January to report a man had received injuries whilst working on a farm in the Amlwch area of Anglesey. The man was taken to Stoke Hospital following the incident but has now sadly died following his injuries. The man’s family and the coroner have been informed. Police will continue to assist the coroner in their investigations."
