Garang Kuol grabbed his first Australia goal in a moment made in the SPFL.
The Hearts loanee was selected by Graham Arnold as part of his Socceroos squad for the 'Homecoming' double header with Ecuador after going through what he described as a 'tough start' to his time in Scotland ahead of naming his selection. Minutes have been limited under Robbie Neilson so far since his January arrival on loan from Newcastle United with the capital boss asking for patience.
He jetted off on international duty alongside Jambos team-mates Kye Rowles, Cammy Devlin and Nathaniel Atkinson with the likes of former Hibs and Rangers striker Jason Cummings and Jackson Irvine who was also on the scoresheet at the Commbank Stadium in Sydney.

The Socceroos are back in action after their World Cup heroics that ended with defeat in the knockout stages to superstar Lionel Messi and Argentina, who went on to lift the trophy with a thrilling win over France in the final.
A host of Hearts and former Hibs stars are in the squad for the two games as well as 'Chief Vibes Officer' Martin Boyle who has jetted out to Australia to show his support and be with the national team in a move sanction by Lee Johnson in a bid to help lift his sprits as he continues his rehab from injury - with the attacker expected back ready for next season after the club provided a latest injury update on five key players at Easter Road this morning.
Australia ran out 3-1 winners on the day in the first meeting of the duo in this international break with Kuol making sure of the win late on with a simple tap-in from Aziz Behich's ball across goal. The pair will square off again next week at the Marvel Stadium in Melbourne.
Speaking ahead of the game, Arnold said: "It's great to come back and the most most satisfying thing over the whole campaign was the fans back at home. Seeing what we saw in Qatar was just mind blowing.
"I'm getting goosebumps now talking about it, because you don't see any other sport get that. The final of the NRL World Cup was on nearly a week before our World Cup started and you didn't see that in the finals of the NRL World Cup. So you know, we're just about making the nation proud and happy. All I want to do is do that again and make them even happier if I can."
