Hearts 3 Dundee 1: Neil Critchley’s side first to reach Scottish Cup semi-finals

Heart of Midlothian became the first team to book their place in the Scottish Cup semi-finals after a commanding victory over Dundee at Tynecastle.

Norwegian midfielder Sander Kartum stole the show with two outstanding goals, marking a memorable performance that guided Hearts into the last four.

The January arrival from Brann opened his account for the club in spectacular fashion, unleashing a stunning long-range strike to break the deadlock in the first half.

However, Dundee responded after the interval when Joe Shaughnessy met Ziyad Larkeche’s delivery to bring the visitors level.

Hearts quickly regained the advantage as Simon Murray inadvertently headed Blair Spittal’s free-kick into his own net. Kartum then sealed the victory with a composed finish, weaving through the Dundee defence before firing home.
