Hearts 0 Rangers 3 as visitors make it lucky No13, Alfredo Morelos shows up - 3 things we learned

Rangers produced arguably their best performance under Michael Beale as the new boss maintained his unbeaten start.

It was lucky number 13 for the Light Blues and 11 for Giovanni van Bronckhorst's successor as they put in a totally dominant display under the lights at Tynecastle. Pre-match this one looked like a real tricky test for the Ibrox men but they made light work of the hosts with Alfredo Morelos and Malik Tillman netting in the first period. The men from Govan also had two goals ruled out for offside in the opening 45 while Zander Clark was called into action on more than one occasion. Morelos grabbed his second of the night after a VAR check to put the game beyond doubt.

Despite the long unbeaten run, the gap at the top remains at nine points with Celtic not affording their Old Firm rivals a way back into the title race. A big XXX win over Livingston means no change in the difference between the top two in the standings. Here's three things we learned from a brilliant away day for Rangers.

Lucky No13

Rangers made it 13 games without defeat against Hearts at Tynecastle.

Michael Beale has been at the helm for 11 of those, as his personal unbeaten record continues.

Victory under the lights at Tynecastle brings an end to Robbie Neilson and his troops' own run of ten without defeat.

Arguably Rangers' best performance under the new boss. Totally dominant display.

Stake a claim

Rangers have just three more outings before the League Cup Final with Celtic at Hampden.

The Old Firm duo battle it out for the first trophy of the season at the end of the month and every single player will be desperate to be involved in that showdown.

Premiership outings with Ross County and Livingston and a Scottish Cup tie against Partick Thistle stand in the way of the Light Blues and that derby at the national stadium..

A big four weeks for the Ibrox men that will have a major say in how the season shapes up.

Mor like it

Alfredo Morelos looked right up for this one and it was noticeable.

An offside goal, a header opener and a flashed effort inches from hitting the net all inside the opening 12 minutes.

When he is on it and up for it a real handful.

Grabbed his second of the match in the second half after Fashion Sakala's ball across goal following a VAR check.

If he can find his form between now and the end of the season he could have a major say in any success Rangers have this term.

He could also be playing for his Ibrox future with his contract up in the summer. A big few months ahead.
