Vanessa Feltz has opened up on her recent heartbreak on This Morning, saying she's not sleeping at all but won't let it 'grind her down'.
Over the weekend, the TV star, 60, revealed that she and her fiance of 16-years Ben Ofoedu, 50, had called time on their relationship.
And today, Vanessa joined her colleagues Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby to talk about the break up and how she is doing.
Vanessa told Holly and Phil she's very grateful for the messages of support she has been receiving on social media. She said: "I've had what feels like millions of messages, so so many from people going through it and I wouldn't want to minimise in anyway what it's like when you're heartbroken. It's horrible.
"People have been amazing, it helps a lot and also I can't sleep at all so reading thousands and thousands of messages from lovely people on Instagram and it's something to do in the middle of the night, you know I'm really finding my real friends and my real family."
The agony aunt went on to say that she won't let it grind her down as it's not the first time she's been through a break-up.
She added: "God's sake I am not alone and also I've been through it before, it's not like I'm a stranger to stuff I've already had a horrible divorce so it's quite a familiar feeling but I'm absolutely not going to let it grind me down."
Phil asked Vanessa about wearing her 'heart on her sleeve' and she said she felt she 'didn't have much choice' as she knew the news would come out one way or another.
She said she tried to keep the news to herself for as long as possible. She added: "When you go into a room or a restaurant or work and you know every single person knows your private business, that's not a nice feeling obviously but on the other hand, people come and give you a big cuddle and you don't need to keep explaining it as everybody already knows it.
"I'm trying to keep on the bright side."
She then added: "I have said that I feel sad and I feel hurt, which I do and I feel terribly humiliated and people have said 'you shouldn't' so that's quite helpful. To believe in your own relationship isn't stupid."
Phil then revealed that he and Holly had both known about the relationship ending privately, but asked her if it was quite sudden or had been a gradual thing.
She said: "Both. I think, terrible shock but also kind of a gradual thing, I think that's often the case - that it's a mixture of the two. I don't want to dwell on anything or the details and I really do want to focus on the future and I want to focus on telling myself there is a future. I certainly want there to be."
Vanessa then called for viewers to call in during her agony aunt segment today - which is about broken hearts - to give her advice.
I'd love it if people phoned in and told me how they got over it themselves! If you've been through a horrible break up, help me out! I'll take any advice I can get from anyone. I feel as if I am literally in the eye of the storm at the minute and I haven't got to the bit where you look back at it, I'm right in it and anything anyone can tell me about getting through it, I would be very grateful, I really would."
