A heartbroken sister has paid tribute to her brother from Glasgow who tragically died just two days into the new year.
Sean Patrick Taggart passed away suddenly on Monday, January 2, and has been described by family as "a much-loved brother and son who loved to party".
The 27-year-old was well known within the Castlemilk area of the city, with locals quick to donate money to help pay for his send-off. Speaking to Glasgow Live, Sean's sister Jody described him as "always full of smiles".
She said: "Sean was just a young partygoer, he was always the last person standing after a night out and everyone loved him.
"He was always full of smiles and would be the person to crack the jokes. He was always known as the boy with the specs since without them he couldn’t see an inch."
Sean's mum had recently given up her job to become a full-time carer for his gran and is now facing the financial burden of a funeral. To help, Jody has set up a fundraiser in the hope of raising money to give her brother the send-off he deserves.
She added: "We know times are hard for everyone and we aren't expecting much but I just thought I'd create the fundraiser on behalf of my mum to help her in any way possible and to take off some of the stress load she has and help us give Sean the send-off he deserves.
"Let's celebrate the life of our bhoy who we all knew loved to party. Forever 27."
Dozens of people have shared their condolences with Sean's family and posted touching tributes to the young man online.
One friend wrote: "I will always treasure you absolute legend you was like the little brother I never had you will be dearly missed fly high ma brother will miss you loads."
Another added: "What a class boy, so sorry for your loss thinking of you and the family."
